Beetles infest rugs, boxes, plants, dry goods, clothing, and more in our homes and will hitchhike to new locations in those items.
Another common way that beetles get into our Georgia homes is through dry goods purchased from stores with beetle eggs or larvae already in them.
While not as common, adult beetles can move indoors on their own. Many beetles are attracted to light, and a home's outdoor light fixtures draw them to windows and doors. As they crawl around, they move inside through gaps they discover around windows and doors.
